Sound is for me an adventure, a continous search for new or unknown patterns, combinations, interactions and moods. A world of possibilities, often in unexpected ways and behaviours. I love to work simply with some objects and a microphone. I see sound as the meeting and interaction of two objects. Not only the drum is an instrument but also the sticks, not only the string, but also the hand that touches them.
In my work i like simplicity. My best memories of sound recording are with my old portable stereo recorder or the later four-track tape recorders. Nowadays i also work with the computer, if necessary and needed, to create the right sound for a certain project.
Through the years i have played in several groups and projects, like indra karmuka, mommur chasma, aurelle, and others. Besides that i also participated in the music and dance improvisation group oerewoed and played as a musician/performer in the performance group oeroer.
